Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar continued India’s gold rush at the ISSF Shooting World Cup in New Delhi on Wednesday but triumphing in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event.
He beat World No 1 Istvan Peni of Hungary in a thrilling final as he took first place with a total score of 462.5 in the final, while the latter had to settle for silver with 461.6 at the Dr Karni Singh shooting range.
Steffen Olsen of Denmark took the bronze with a score of 450.9.
This is India’s sixth gold medal at the ongoing World Cup.
