Madhya Pradesh police on Saturday made two persons do squats in the middle of a busy road for allegedly sexually harassing women, news agency ANI reported.

According to the annual National Crime Record Bureau’s (NCRB) 2019 report, crimes against women in India increased 7.3 per cent from 2018 to 2019, and crimes against Scheduled Castes also went up 7.3 per cent in the same period. Among the states, Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth in crime against women with 27, 560 cases in last year, says the data.
