Term of power utilities’ CMDs, Directors extended ‘until further orders’

The State government has extended the term of three Chairmen and Managing Directors and 20 Directors of four power utilities “until further orders”.

The term of Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has also been extended with similar tenure.

The term of 20 Directors of the four the four power utilities – Power Generation Corporation of Telangana Ltd (TS-Genco), Transmission Corporation of Telangana Ltd (TS-Transco), Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSSPDCL) and Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSNPDCL) – and also that of the CMDs of the two Discoms – is coming to an end on May 31.

The term of CMD of TS-Genco is till June 4.

In the orders issued by Special Chief Secretary (Energy) Ajay Misra on Wednesday, the term of CMD of TS-Genco D. Prabhakar Rao, who also officiates for TS-Transco, CMDs of TSSPDCL G. Raghuma Reddy and TSNPDCL A. Gopal Rao and Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TSREDCO N. Janaiah has been extended until further orders.

Similarly, the term of TS-Genco Directors Ch. Venkata Rajam (Hydel), M. Sachidanandam (Projects), S. Ashok Kumar Director (HR), B. Lakshmaiah (Thermal) and A. Ajay (Civil); TS-Transco Directors G. Narsing Rao Director (Projects), T. Jagath Reddy (Transmission), J. Surya Prakash (Lift Irrigation) and B. Narsinga Rao (Grid Operation) has been extended.

The term of TSSPDCL Directors J. Srinivas Reddy (Operations), T. Srinivas (Projects), K. Ramulu (Commercial, DPE, Assessment and Energy Audit), G. Parvatham (HR&IR), Ch. Madan Mohan Rao (P&MM) and S. Swamy Reddy (IPC&RAC); Directors of TSNPDCL B. Venkateshwar Rao (HR), P. Mohan Reddy (Projects), P. Sandhya Rani (Commercial), P. Ganpathi (IPC&RAC) and D. Narsinga Rao (Operations) has also been extended.

Besides, the term of Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TSREDCO N. Janaiah has also been extended until further orders.
