Susanna Reid has been left "flabbergasted" as Adil Ray praised Meghan Markle for writing a children's book while her former co-star Piers Morgan slammed the Duchess as a "money-grabber".
Brunette beauty Susanna, 50, discussed the news on Good Morning Britain on 5 May as she said: "Meghan has released a children's book," before awkwardly looking off to the side.
Unaffected by his co-hosts glances, 47 year old Adil went into a speech on how positive the project is as he said: "Well I think it's great, I think it's fantastic."
Clearly surprised, Susanna, who recently cried as she talked to Thames hero Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole's parents, replied: "Good?" as he continued: "It’s a great story. A great idea about the father and son relationship.
"Often when we think about children’s books we think about the mother and daughter in these times is quite interesting.
"I think it’s clearly going to be personal because it’ll be her relationship with her own son and Harry. I think it’s fantastic, it’s positive.
"It’s a great thing and I hope it does very well. What’s more to say about it, why would you knock it? Why would anybody knock it?"
Susanna replied: "Absolutely right," before Ben Shephard, 46, chimed in to say: "You’re sort of flabbergasted to have someone alongside you who’s giving praise of Meghan Markle’s book. You’re speechless aren’t you Susanna?"
Adil went on to emphasise his point once more as he said: "I just think it’s fantastic, good luck to them. I think they’re both doing very well."
It comes just one day after Susanna's former GMB co-host Piers took a swipe at Meghan, 39, for releasing her own children's book, branding it the "World's Most Ludicrously Inappropriate Book".

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, he explained that he "laughed out loud" upon hearing the news and called the Duchess of Sussex a "cynical disingenuous manipulator".
"Lest we forget, Ms Markle has ruthlessly disowned her father Thomas and refuses to have anything to do with him despite the fact they now live just 70 miles from each other," he wrote.
He added: "The truth is that she's a cynical disingenuous manipulator intent on wrecking the Royal Family's image around the world with her shameless, shameful, money-grabbing victim-playing antics, and dragging her hapless husband along for the ride."
Piers, 56, who recently mocked Line of Duty, saying the series finale was "underwhelming", also took aim at her 36 year old husband Prince Harry as he referred to how the Duke "trashed his father Prince Charles" during their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Piers claimed Harry moaned "about how Daddy had stopped taking his calls or giving him cash, sounding like some needy spoiled brat teenager rather than a 36 year old multi-millionaire doormat who ditched his family, country and duty because his chillingly controlling and ambitious wife wanted him to."
He added: "And unforgivably, he did this as Charles was desperately worried about HIS father, Prince Philip, who was lying seriously ill in hospital and later died."
