Shah Rukh Khan’s better half Gauri Khan celebrated her 49th birthday yesterday. The star wife herself is a successful businesswoman. Shah Rukh Khan loves celebrating festivals and occasions. He is excited like a child for everything and it’s not like your wife’s birthday comes every day. Shah Rukh likes to celebrate every occasion be it parties, success bashes, wrap-ups in a grand style. But this one was an intimate affair!

Shah Rukh Khan hosted wifey Gauri’s birthday bash and kept it a low key affair. It was a dinner party with just close friends in attendance. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, breaking the otherwise grand-scale celebrations, Shah Rukh called in his and Gauri’s closer friend circle to ring in the latter’s birthday. According to the report, Gauri spent her birthday with her husband Shah Rukh and son AbRam at home. SRK and Gauri’s other two kids, Aryan and Suhana, missed their mommy dearest’ birthday as they both are out of town. But that’s not it. The report further stated that Shah Rukh’s New Delhi besties Shalini and Sanjay Passi dropped by to join the trio on Gauri’s special day.

Later in the day, Gauri’s best friends Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Rima Jain, Nitasha Nanda joined them for an intimate dinner. What a better way to celebrate one’s special day with close friends and loved ones nearby along with dinner! Close friends, food and lots pf gup-shup, is the ideal way to celebrate birthdays.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan conducted and #AskSRK session on his Twitter handle yesterday. He answered most of his fans in his wittiest style. As the evening came, Shah Rukh took leave and wrote, “Ok all. Need to go now. @gaurikhan birthday so will pass on all your wishes to her. Lots of love to you all and was good to hear from you on #AskSRK BE WELL. Be happy. And don’t forget to pray,”
