Safiyya Vorajee reveals final song she sang to daughter Azaylia in heartbreaking tribute

Safiyya Vorajee has shared the final song she sang with her late daughter Azaylia the night before she passed away.

The 33 year old and her former partner Ashley Cain were left devastated when their little girl lost her battle with acute myeloid leukaemia at eight months old in April 2021.

Marking the heartbreaking day, Safiyya has now taken to her Instagram feed to share a moving clip of herself and Azaylia lying down together as she mouthed the words to Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston's When you Believe, from the movie The Prince of Egypt.

Safiyya could be seen wearing a black top with a gold chain around her neck as her baby daughter lay on her chest with a blue T-shirt on.

In the caption, the mum penned a tribute dedicated to Azaylia for her 1million followers to read. Sharing two dove emojis, she said: "Azaylias 1 year anniversary

"A year without my daughter you are such a beautiful baby Azaylia [crying emoji] and when I say it doesn’t get any easier I mean that with a full heart [red heart emoji] If love could of saved you I promise you would be here with me I will hold you in my heart & forever be connected with you for eternity," followed by a red heart emoji.

She continued: "The pain of not having my baby here on earth with me rips my body and soul to pieces everyday I open my eyes!

"Azaylia you made me a mummy and that title is the most precious one I will treasure forever , knowing I have given birth to my hero my inspiration my daughter is something I will keep close to my heart forever," with a white heart emoji.

Safiyya, who recently thanked her fans for their support as she visited Azaylia's grave, went on to share the heartwarming moment she and her daughter shared the night before she lost her battle to leukaemia.

She said: "The night before you passed we sang this song together for the last time in bed, this was our song that always kept us believing in the most darkest times." with a crying emoji.

The star continued by gushing over her little girl, praising her for achieving "more in your 8months on earth than many of us will in a life time".

Safiyya said Azaylia is helping many children and their families through The Azaylia Foundation and called her an "inspiration" before adding she's "truly missed & loved I love you keep flying high in heaven with all the other Angels," followed by an angel baby emoji.

She added: "With a heavy heart today and everyday baby mummy loves you so much I know your in the highest heaven and you look down on me today sat at your garden side from morning till night reflecting I love you so much," alongside seven white heart emojis.

Safiyya ended her post by sharing: "The pain loss & emotion I’m feeling today is incredibly overwhelming".

Celebrity friends were quick to comment as Charlotte Dawson said: "Sending all my love & prayers xxxx," alongside five red heart emojis.

While Lauren Pope wrote: "Thinking of you and your family today, sending lots of love," alongside a red heart emoji.
