Maura Higgins ‘joins celebrity dating app Raya’ after Giovanni Pernice split

Maura Higgins has reportedly joined celebrity dating app Raya.

Dubbed the app for the rich and famous, Raya apparently houses profiles of models, actors and musicians, and one writer for The Cut even spoke about matching with Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Raya is basically like a private club or unmarked nightclub, except it's in your pocket, and a DM from Jake Gyllenhaal could pop up at any moment.

Now, 30 year old Maura, who recently hit back at fans after being accused of Photoshopping her abs in a sultry snap, is said to be on the hunt for love after splitting from Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice last month.

A source told The Sun: "Maura is a stunning girl and has already been bombarded with offers and swipes. She won’t be single for long.”

OK! Online has approached Maura's representatives for further comment.

Giovanni, 31, and the former Love Islander broke up in mid-October and proceeded to delete all pictures of each other on their respective social media pages.

The Sicilian dancer later took to his Instagram to share a lengthy statement about the end of their relationship as he said there was "no wrong doing".

"Hey guys – I hope everyone had a great Monday," the star began. "Going into another wonderful training week – thank you so much for your amazing messages & your support this weekend.

"I get to live my dream every single day because of you – so thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I wanted to say a couple of things…"

"Firstly, great relationships with great people can come to a natural end," Giovanni then explained. "This has been the case for me recently.

"There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation."

The BBC star went on to suggest that going forward, his fans will focus more on having important conversations about the issues raised on the show and the representation.

Giovanni, who recently said his "special" silent moment with partner Rose Ayling-Ellis on Strictly was kept a surprise, also said he has been "learning so many things".

"Whilst I respect and understand interest in my personal life, wouldn’t it be fantastic to instead use this space to raise awareness of subjects and issues which need the attention," Giovanni went on.
