Kylie Minogue, 53, will reportedly be using Australia as her base after having the time “to think about where she wants to be based.” The pop star was purportedly able to rethink her living arrangements while having more free time during lockdown.
A source close to Kylie said: “This is something she has been thinking about for a while.
“This year, when she was in Australia for an extended period due to travel restrictions, it gave her time to think about where she wants to be based.
“Like many artists she spends much of her life on the road or travelling so she doesn’t anticipate that this is a major change for her as she’s never in one place for a long time anyway.
“Covid has given her a lot of time to think about the future and she wants to see more of her family in the times when she isn’t travelling, and so she will use Australia as her base,” the source told The Mirror.
According to the publication, Kylie changed the service address for her four main businesses to an Australian address in newly-filed documents.
The new address is located in Hawthorn, a suburb of Melbourne.
An insider added: “She’s changed her company details to reflect that she is moving.”
The publication also reported that Kylie’s residence as director on the business papers has also been changed from England to Australia.
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Kylie for comment.
Kylie has numerous relatives living in Australia – her parents Carol and Ron, brother Brendan, sister Dannii, and nephew Ethan.
The Spinning Around hitmaker previously opened up on how her cancer diagnosis changed her career and personal life choices years ago.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36.
The news came as she was travelling the world on tour before “everything changed”.
The singer explained: “Cancer changed many things forever, and then some things did not change at all.
“My view of the world was different, my destination, for the most part, was the same.
“It’s like the earth had kind of slipped off its axis. You see everything differently.”
However, the disease also made Kylie even more “passionate about all the people and all the things that I love”.
“But at the same time, life as I had always known it was on hold,” she continued to People.
She added: “It’s a huge change, and it is before and after. Now with what’s happening in the world, there’s a lot of people talking about a new normal, but I think after cancer or any other big, life-changing incident or illness, you have to adapt.
“People shone so bright for me in those dark days. The strength my family showed was extraordinary.
“The love, support and the kindness of strangers! I was so very aware of, and grateful for, all that had gone before me.”
