Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh is the talk of the town and how! The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial which is the official remake of Telegu superhit Arjun Reddy will see Shahid Kapoor play the titular role. The actor has transformed himself into a rebel lover and needless to say, fans are going gaga over it, especially after the bomb of a trailer. Like that was not enough, the makers have been dropping songs and gotta say, we are loving how the album is shaping up. Be it Bekhayali or Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage, we are still crooning the tunes.

In fact, there’s another addition to the list and boy, is it romantic! Titled Mere Sohneya, the melodious track is sung by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur and is also composed by duo. The lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil and the song has an other world charm to it. Even Shahid and Kiara get you invested in their long-distance love and the endearing things couples go through in the same. From crying over video calls to surprising each other at moments, the song is replete with all the feels to make you fall in love again.

The film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Kishan Kumar and Ashwini Varde. It went on floors on October 21. Earlier in an interview, Shahid had mentioned why he chose to do this film. “I usually don’t watch too many films in Telugu and it surprised me with its tonality, rawness, simplicity and the fact that it was so real and believable. The character is very fascinating for me as an actor because the emotional arc… is very original. I loved it and Vijay Deverakonda, who played Arjun, did it so well,” he had said.
Kabir Singh is the story of a medical student who has anger management issues and after a failed relationship he indulges in alcoholism. The film promises an intense love story between Shahid and Kiara. It will hit the silver screen on June 21. Stay tuned to BL for more updates and scoops!
BL Verdict: It seems like the track was designed to help say things that words can’t. Pardon the philosophy, but the song spells romance and it’s hard not to give in. Especially when Shahid and Kiara spark the flame that it needed.
