Gogglebox star Mica Ven overjoyed as she becomes grandmother for the first time

Gogglebox star Mica Ven has taken to her Instagram to gush over her new granddaughter to her 123,000 followers.

The reality favourite, 43, who was pictured at the BAFTAs earlier this year, shared the sweet snap of her kissing her new granddaughter’s tiny feet as she beamed at the newborn.

Mica added the words "Mama Love” over the sweet image and also shared a video where she could be seen smiling to the camera as her granddaughter kicked her legs.

She asked the question on the video: “What will your Grandbaby call you?”

She then gently picked up the baby’s tiny foot and kissed the sole while sharing gushing looks at the camera.

Mica then revealed to her followers that her grandbaby will call her Mama Love as she winked at the camera.

She captioned the sweet post: “Scroll on, i’m already moving like an old Granny, I pressed the wrong button & instead of pinning- I removed my Koko news reel from my profile grid by mistake, so I’m a just put her tootsies right back on my timeline.

“The original reel is still in my reels section thankfully.”

She ended the post with: “Hush”.

Mica and her partner Marcus Luther are favourites on the Channel 4 reality show and often have viewers in stitches at their antics.

Mica and Marcus have been regular faces on the show since 2018.

Earlier this year the star was met with plenty of praise following her criticism of the Home for Ukraine scheme.

Back in March on the hit Channel 4 show, when turning over to a BBC News segment, Mica discussed the new government scheme with Marcus.

She said: "Not being funny, this isn't the first refugee situation, you know what I mean? How come only now there's incentives to encourage people to help refugees?"

Mica's comments were immediately praised by fans, with many taking to Twitter to show their support for her.

One account wrote: "Mica talking truth there!"

While another added: "Good on Mica for calling out the hypocrisy regarding refugees."

A third wrote: "Mica speaking sense."

The government launched its Homes for Ukraine website earlier this year, which allows those who want to host a refugee to sign-up, with 100,000 people reported to have put their name forward on the first day.

Each household housing a refugee will be offered £350 a month under the scheme, which will be rolled out over the coming weeks and months.
