Eamonn Holmes’ fans rush to support him after he announces he’s in hospital with ‘worst pain of his life’

Eamonn Holmes has revealed he's in hospital after suffering from "pain he's never felt in his life".

The presenter, who is set to return to This Morning with Ruth Langsford, took to Instagram to share the news with his beloved fans.

Alongside a picture of himself sat in a waiting room with a protective face mask on, the dad-of-four said: "At Hospital. Pain like I've never felt in my life.

"Hope they discover the cause. Wish me well folks," he wrote alongside a praying emoji.

Eamonn's celebrity pals rushed to comment on the snap and wished the broadcaster well.

Dermot O'Leary commented: "Sending love Eamonn," while Vicky Pattison said: "Feel better soon Mr."

Josie Gibson added: "Ahhh sending you so much love," and Saira Khan expressed: "Ohh goodness Eamonn, I hope you are ok. Sending you all my love and prayers."

The television personality's fans also rushed to support him, with one commenting: "Awww Eamonn, hope you get some answers!" [sic]

Another Instagram user said: "God bless Eamonn, take care, wishing you well, stay safe," alongside a red heart emoji.

While a third added: "Sending you so much love and strength xx."

Eamonn previously opened up about his chronic back pain and said it has turned him into an insomniac.

Sitting up at 2:32am, he wrote on Twitter: "In that Twilight Zone between Night time and Morning. Anyone else find these Hours the worst…. particularly if you suffer Chronic pain ?" [sic]

The former journalist also gave fans an insight into his ongoing health struggle as he shared a photo of himself on a physio table.

The snap showed Eamonn, who recently shared a photo with his lookalike son, with his face resting through the hole in the table.

Alongside the picture, he penned: "Starting the day by tackling the pain from the night before ….. On the Physio table.

"Chronic pain . Just can't get it to go away," followed by a crying face emoji.

He went on: "Sadly so many of you know the feeling. Thanks for sharing your stories. I'm determined to beat this …however much it hurts."
